Privacy Policy
What FractRoam and this site do — and don’t — collect.
Effective 18 July 2026
FractRoam is a fractal explorer for iOS and Android, together with this website (fractroam.com), created by Kaolin Imago Fire. This policy explains what information is — and is not — collected.
The FractRoam apps (iOS & Android)
- FractRoam renders fractals entirely on your device. It requires no account and does not ask you for personal information.
- Your preferences — fractal type, colour palette, and similar settings — are stored locally on your device.
- The app may check the App Store or Google Play for the current version so it can occasionally invite you to rate it; this does not transmit personal information.
- Sharing a fractal image or link uses your device’s standard share sheet, and only when you choose to share.
- The apps contain no third-party advertising.
- When you install FractRoam from the App Store or Google Play, Apple or Google may collect information such as installs and, if you opt in, crash diagnostics, under their own privacy policies.
This website (fractroam.com)
- The site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic — pages viewed, approximate region, and device/browser type. You can opt out with Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Standard web-server logs record each request (IP address, timestamp, and browser user-agent) for operation, security, and troubleshooting.
- The support page embeds Disqus for messages; anything you enter there is processed under Disqus’s own privacy policy.
- Shared fractal links encode only the fractal’s coordinates and type — never personal data.
- We do not sell personal information and do not serve third-party ads.
Children
FractRoam is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes
This policy may be updated from time to time; the effective date above reflects the current version.
